My Story

From Successful Behavior Analyst to Purpose Driven, Stay at Home Mama: How I Built a Successful Online Business

“Life becomes more meaningful when you realize the simple fact that you will never get the same moment twice.”

As a little girl, I always dreamt of these days and here I am – Being a stay at home mom, soaking in the morning sunrise while we enjoy our slow mornings together, educating my children at home, going on adventures while we travel the world, and doing it all with my husband by my side.

It’s wild to think that a few years ago, I was working 60 hours a week, spending more time with coworkers and clients than I did with my own husband and children, and I believed this was what I was supposed to continue doing until I was 65 and retired.

Somewhere along the way, I had fallen into the hamster wheel that society tries to shove us all into. The one where we have to go to college so we can get a good job. Then we have to work more hours to keep up, pay others to care for our children, trust complete strangers to educate our kiddos, request permission from an employer to take a vacation with our family, and overpack our schedules so we aren’t left behind.

I’ll tell you, I really enjoyed my career as a behavior analyst. I had amazing experiences and was able to impact lives. However, just because something is good and serves a purpose for a season of life, does not mean it is meant for all seasons of your life.

God started knocking on the door of my heart in 2017 when my mama suddenly died at 63 years old. I watched my parents' dreams, of what their retirement days would look like, come crashing down. They never made it to those days of freedom. I started to examine my life and question what I was putting off for “later.”

Then our second child was born and God was again chipping away at my heart. I was torn in two different directions - motherhood and demanding career. I believed the lie that I could and should do it all. I was missing my baby's first words and first steps. I was losing out on those bonding moments to comfort the cries and share in the laughter. I felt burnt out. I felt drained. I felt frustrated. I knew where I needed to be, but I fought it and clung on to the ways of society for a few more years.

I kept praying for direction. I continually prayed and asked God where he wanted me and how he wanted to use me. That’s a dangerous prayer to pray, if you aren’t ready for the answer.

We were blessed with our twins (putting us at four kiddos) and God started slamming doors all around me. God answered me. He refined my heart, opened my eyes and cleared my path. I went from behavior analyst with our oldest in the school system, to stay at home mama who was pulling her kiddo to begin educating at home. I saw clearly now that this current season and the upcoming seasons of life, the most important work I could do was within the four walls of my home.

My purpose wasn’t out there, in some job, as society wanted me to believe. My purpose is in cultivating my home- intentionally creating a space that nurtures and reflects our families values. My purpose is in raising our children, shaping their hearts, minds and character. My purpose is in creating meaningful relationships and reflecting the love of Jesus.

I realized that living by our values was far greater than living by the rules of society.

When I stopped trying to do it all, I was able to give the best parts of myself to what mattered most.

In 2023, God kept showing up by presenting an opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and start an online business. I had no experience with social media or online sales, and I honestly had no desire to work in that space either.

However, my family’s health and living a low toxic lifestyle is extremely important to me and I know how valuable proper hydration is. So when this online business involved the health products that I had already researched and believed in, I needed to learn more. I took the time to learn about this 50+ yr old company and their patented compensation plan. I also learned that the platform would give me all the tools, training, resources and support to learn everything I needed. I jumped in, and I am so thankful I did!

Because I started my online business:

I am able to educate our kids at homeMy husband and I have more time together to deepen our relationship even furtherWe are able to travel for months at a timeI have relieved the financial burden from my husband’s shouldersI have the ability to slow down to enjoy moments, instead of constantly rushing through lifeWe are able to financially give in large ways to othersI can financially afford to nourish our family with organic and high quality foodsI have more time to focus on relationships and connection with my kids, husband and even strangers

This opportunity has allowed our family to live a value driven life.
